The Astronomical Observatory in Chișinău was commissioned in 1990, founded by the Technical-Scientific Center of the students’ “Viitorul,” with the aim of hosting space research courses.

Since October 1994, the Observatory became part of the Republican Real High School and continued its activities for a period.

The Astronomical Observatory in Chișinău was built with a noble purpose – to host space research courses but was active for a relatively short period.

Today it is abandoned and painful to look at. Precisely for this reason, it was “revived” for a few seconds in one of the creations Artist Program︱Untold Stories of the City. Project presentations.

THE
ARTCOR ARTIST PROGRAM 2023︱UNTOLD STORIES OF THE CITY:

Together with the 9 teams of people involved in writing, sound, drawing, and animation, we managed to bring to the phone screen nine digital stories for nine historical buildings in Chișinău.

In parallel, based on these historical monuments, a set of 10 graphic illustrations was created by Irina Cleșcenco. You can purchase them here: Artcor SHOP

And with the help of the Artivive application, these buildings will come to life in your hands.
